Celebrities, Mentors And Global Supporters Join Hands to Guide 3,000 Chicago Girls CHICAGO, IL – Afro Latino Magazine, Soul Music Television and Power 92 Radio are just few of the media outlets who are showing support of a not-for-profit initiative that will empower 1,000 teen girls in one of 3 workshop sessions. The first workshop kicks off a long term mentoring and guidance initiative that features 3 phases: internal, physical and abstract beauty. Topics to be covered include integrity, self-esteem, confidence, leadership, discipline, conflict resolution, hair and skin care, health and nutrition, basic banking, saving money, financial planning, and entrepreneurial business. Professional women will guide the girls during the workshop and register them in the long term mentoring and internship programs. Some of the girls will participate in the Palenque International Youth Ambassador Entrepreneurial Program where kids from all over the globe contribute to activities that bring them together for interactive business scenarios and internships. Guest speakers of the workshop include: Celebrity Hairstylist – DeRico Jackson, CEO and International Business Executive – Melida Barrow -Harris, CEO and President of My Lifestyle Magazine – Elizabeth Ortiz and Motivational Speaker – Bershan Shaw, and Celebrity Manicurist and Huffington Post Writer – Myrdith Leon McCormack.
